Our client was an established eCommerce business with a high level of brand awareness in their market but a very low ROI from a £50million marketing budget combined with a disillusioned marketing team. This was a market sensitive hire and the CEO was keen to ensure that the search was undertaken as discreetly as possible. The brief was highly specific and we started with a market mapping exercise to ensure we had a comprehensive list of target candidates. To keep the search as confidential as possible we carried out extensive research of each target so that we could limit the number of approaches we made to the minimum. Our shortlist consisted of just 3 candidates who met all the criteria, one of which went on to secure the position.
